RECORD BREAKING 36 HOUR POKER DEN UNDERWAY!
London – 30th September 2008 – At 14.30 BST on Tuesday 30th September the famous Poker Den got underway! ‘PartyPoker.com Poker Den: The Big Game III’ will run for a record breaking 36 hours!
Starting the game is Roland de Wolfe, David Williams, Sammy “Any Two” George, Chris Parker, Neil Channing, Jennifer Tilly, Robert Williamson III and Iliodoros Kamatakis. A long list of star names are slated to take part at some point during the cash game marathon.
Each player will buy-in for a minimum of $10,000, with blinds starting at $25/$50 and all players are free to leave the table at any time they want. PartyPoker.com and event organizers Matchroom Sport have also introduced the “Party Pot,” that will see players winning a $1,000 bonus from a selected hand every hour. Coverage of the game will be shown on Five in the UK early next year and will then be distributed worldwide.
A PartyPoker.com spokesman said: “ It only took four hands for there to be the first five figure pot. David Williams has already had to reload for another $20,000 and we’re only scratching the surface of what’s to come in the next 36 hours!” The first ‘Party Pot,’ where $1000 was added by the sponsors, resulted in a pot of over $29,000! Neil Channing is talking about trying to do all 36 hours but he looked tired when he arrived!”
