First impression
It is so nice when three world poker champions meet you on the PokerStars home page; they are Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer and Joe Hachem. They are part of the PokerStars team, which is really amazing. The homepage is nice and is not overcrowded and it features the latest poker news, PokerStars features and etc. PokerStars features are impressive and catch everyone’s eye. PokerStars is the Largest online poker room and the download is a mere 6 minutes and it’s done. The popup at the end of installation is a bit annoying, but there are people who are interested in PokerStars’ news, so it’s a necessary evil. There is a Mexican simplicity in the design, which I really like, but that’s a software formula. On the whole, PokerStars looks good. I am giving 9 out of 10.
Player traffic
Why play at PokerStars.com? Because PokerStars is The World’s largest poker site with no less than 30,000 players, no less than 5,000 active poker tables all the time. PokerStars is known for its tournaments and higher stakes poker. Can you imagine freerolls with 20,000 players in them? There are hundreds, even thousands of players who want to play heads up with one of the PokerStars Team members. There are hundreds of players searching for satellites and freerolls and PokerStars - online poker room - is offering the highest number of satellites and breaking records for the most poker players sent to main poker events. They are serious about the poker business and they do care about their players.

Talking about the PokerStars features, they have it listed on their homepage. It is:
1. The World’s largest poker site - definitely yes, there is no other larger online poker room
2. Free to download and play - must be kidding, are there any paid online poker rooms now?
3. Award winning 24/7 support - superb support, I’ve tested it and they are really serious about this
4. Fully licensed and regulated - not sure how to check this out ?
5. Best software and game selection - well, word “best” could be discussed, but it is unique and it is good, I agree with that.
6. Secure deposits, fast cash outs - I will be reviewing PokerStars security later, but so far it seems a really secure site. And I have never heard any cash out problems with PokerStars.
I would also mention that PokerStars has a superb Super Team playing at their tables, they do have tons of tournaments, freerolls and satellites, wide range of games, frequent player program, poker bloggers’ tournaments, PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and…and…and….
Software
PokerStars is multilingual. It is available in more than 10 different languages. Graphics are simple with convenient functions. All online poker rooms offer standard poker games such as Texas Holdem, Omaha and Stud, but PokerStars offers razz, triple draw, five card draw or even HORSE. Some of the other special features are: themes ( you can pick up one of several looks: Shiny, Marine, Stars, Saloon, Renaissance and Hyper-Simple), avatars (you can put up a picture of yourself, your pet or anything you like), notes, hand history, table re-sizing, table focus choices, displayed internet connection status and some more. Pretty good, but could be better
Support
PokerStars cares about their costumers. Support team is open for your inquiries via e-mails 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply e-mail support@pokerstars.com. Also, there is a great FAQ page. However, support is only available via e-mail and that’s why they could improve a lot with this. Live support or telephone number is always helpful.
Security
PokerStars says: “Your privacy on the Internet is very important to PokerStars and its owner and operator, Rational Entertainment Enterprises Limited.” PokerStars is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of the personal information collected by them. They do collect some information, but it will never be sold, traded or given to anyone. All recipients of your personal information shall be bound by applicable data protection laws to keep your personal information private at no less a level than that by which we are bound.

Minimum deposit on PokerStars is $10.
